Safari below and above the waterline
Day 1: Nightflight with destination Durban.
Day 2 : Arrival in Durban. Visit of uShaka Marine World identify what lies ahead. Evening with Welcoming Braai at Ellingham Lodge.
Day 3 : First day of diving at Aliwal Shoal. 2 dives at this beautiful reef with options of reef dive or for the advanced divers a meet and greet with the ragged tooth shark (impressive but harmless). Night at Ellingham Lodge.
Day 4 : 2 dives at Aliwal Shoal or alternatively for the more experienced: Protea banks with its variety of sharks, manta rays and turtles. Night at Ellingham Lodge.
Day 5 : 2 more dives at Aliwal Shoal, with options shark, coral or a visit to the beautifully preserved wreck of the “produce” that struck the reef in 1974 and is resting on the sand at 28m de depth. Afternoon transfer and night at Sodwana Bay.
Day 6 : 2 dives at Sodwana reef. Diving (weather permitting) 12 km from the coast to see the bulldog shark or to see the unique Green Coral tree. Night at Sodwana Bay Lodge.
Day 7 : 2 Morning dives at Sodwana Reef. In the afternoon we’ll leave for Bonamanzi Private Game Park. Night at Bonamanzi lodge.
Day 8 : Departure for a safari with an open top 4x4 vehicle. See with your own eyes why the area was declared a World heritage site! Wildlife abound a true birding paradise without forgetting the bigger carnivores… afternoon departure to Umzinduzi valley. Night à Umzinduzi in a luxury tented safari camp.
Day 9 : Departure for a horseback safari, we adapt the route to your level of experience beginners as well as more experienced riders welcome. Night in true Safari style at Umzinduzi luxury tented camp.
Day 10 : Departure for a last safari before returning to Durban and your flight back home.
